A spouse or spouse visa is a non-immigrant visa that allows the spouse of a United Kingdoms (U.K.) citizen or a lawful permanent resident to reside in the United Kingdoms. The spouse must be the beneficiary of an immigrant petition filed on or before December 21, 2000. If the spouse is not the beneficiary of an immigrant petition filed on or before December 21, 2000, the spouse must apply for a K visa.
