After a long time, Sanju Samson has made another spot to play for India in the Ireland series. Sanju has been a consistent performer for Rajasthan Royals in the last 2 IPL seasons. The Mallu Cricketer led the team Rajasthan Royals to the finals of IPL 2022 by scoring 458 runs at a strike rate close to 150. However, he was not even considered for the IND Vs SA T20I series. Instead, India opted for Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik as wicketkeepers and went on with an unchanged side throughout the series.

Sanju Samson has been named in India’s squad for the series only because of the absence of Rishabh Pant. Currently, Sanju belongs to the top 5 Indian run-scorers of the IPL, but he is not even considered for the World Cup team. Even though Sanju has got yet another opportunity, it is a two-match series and it is not sure whether he gets a chance to show off his skills.

It’s not the first time that Sanju is being offered to be part of the Indian team. Every time he is been offered two or three matches and then he vanishes from the format. Two or three matches won’t make any difference to a player. Instead, he should be part of the team for an extended amount of time to show his excellence. Sanju has talent, but he wants to meet the opportunity to show his talents.

There is no doubt about his potential and his form to be a game-changer, but when he comes to play for India, he never gets a chance to be consistent by playing a full series and become an ineludible part of the team.
